New year resolutions are out!

I am standing with excitement in front of a new year.  Feeling like a child that is counting down for her birthday expecting new gifts and to have a very good time. The reason I am feeling this way is because I know that I have practice very hard this year so I can harvest the best tings the next year. It is not only about visualizing and affirming that only good things are coming your way, but also being conscious that the previous year was a practice period that will allow you to do better the next year.
Celebrating new years have to be seen as an evaluation of your practice period during the previous year. It must be a moment to reflect on everything that happens. Everything that makes you laugh and everything that makes you cry and learn. Be thankful for each and every situation that you have experienced because they are meant to prepare you for the next ones to come.It is not about sticking to the old but just stick to the lessons to avoid doing the same mistakes and to work effectively toward excellence the next year.
Don’t take them for granted. Don’t be caught up in the celebration mood, the bling’s, parties and the noises of the world. Take a time of peace; take a time of quietness to connect with yourself.
Don’t go along with traditions and just make new year resolutions. Go through the previous year first, deal with the unfinished business, take notes of the lessons learned and determined what will be the next step. Your life is a journey, a continuous growth process. If you set new goals every single year without checking with your inner self and the results of your practice period, you will discontinue your growth process ending living a life based on the opinions of others. It is true that we have to move on and let go of old situations. However it is very important to make sure we get the message so we will not do the same mistakes again. I invite you to try these steps for a mindful and prosperous new year.

  • Seek a peaceful moment, be quite
  • Reflect, evaluate to reshape
  • Put your thoughts on a paper
  • Pray/ meditate to connect with your inner self
  • Visualize your dreams for the upcoming year
  •  Make a plan to continue the growth
  •  Affirm positives things
  • Be thankful
  •  Celebrate
Happy, Prosperous and Mindful Year ! -MAC-
